Ernie Banks was a Hall of Fame shortstop and first baseman who became the beloved face of the Chicago Cubs, known for his power, joy for the game, and infectious enthusiasm. He began his career with the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro Leagues and famously coined the phrase “Let’s Play Two,” reflecting his lifelong love of baseball.
